Structured Accountability That Actually Works
This research study explores how peer accountability meetings help creative professionals maintain momentum, achieve goals, and feel more supported in their work.
What makes this different: This isn’t just casual check-ins. It’s a structured 12-week program with proven coaching methodology, designed specifically for the challenges of independent creative work.
Who This Program Is For
This program is designed for creative professionals working independently:
Musicians • Designers • Writers • Artists • Photographers • Architects • Creative Consultants • Filmmakers • Content Creators • And other creative professionals
Requirements: You need at least one year of experience working independently in your creative field. It doesn’t matter whether you’re currently on a roll or struggling with motivation – this program is for you wherever you are in your journey.
The Commitment
We respect your time. Here is a clear overview of what participation involves:
Time Schedule
The program runs from February 12 to April 23, 2026, with accountability meetings held every other week (6 meetings total).
Standard meeting time: Thursdays at 7:00 pm CET | 6:00 pm GMT | 1:00 pm ET | 10:00 am PT
Note: Attendance at the first meeting (February 12) is mandatory at the scheduled time. After that, your accountability group may reschedule to different days/times by mutual agreement. However, all six group meetings must take place during the program period. The facilitator will be available on Thursdays to open meeting rooms and answer questions.
Before the program starts (late January/early February):
- Complete a brief questionnaire to support placement in the most suitable group
- Participate in an introductory group interview (20–30 minutes, scheduled individually per group before February 12)
During the program (February 12 – April 23):
- Participate in 6 accountability meetings via video call (every other week)
Meeting format:
- First meeting (February 12): 20-minute introduction by facilitator + 75-minute accountability session (95 minutes total)
- Subsequent meetings: 75 minutes per session (approximately 25 minutes per participant)
- Groups of 3 participants matched by time zone and language preference
- Primary language is English; groups consisting of only Swedish speakers may choose to conduct sessions in Swedish
- Meetings are self-facilitated using a simple structure (no researcher present after first session)
After the program ends (late April):
- Individual follow-up interview to conclude the study (15-20 minutes)
Total time commitment: Approximately 10.5 hours over a 3-month period
Important: Consistent attendance is essential for both group dynamics and research validity. Please apply only if you are able to commit to all 6 accountability sessions, the introductory group interview, and the follow-up interview.

Testimonials
In December 2024, we conducted our first pilot with 13 creative solo-entrepreneurs from Sweden, England, and Brazil. Over four weeks, participants met in small accountability groups to work on their goals and challenges.
The results clearly show that the method works:
- 69% of participants rated the group structure as 8/10 or higher
- Participants reported an average goal clarity of 7.5/10
- 6 out of 13 participants gave the highest rating (10/10) for likelihood to recommend the program
- Focus areas included entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, career change, and personal development
“The best part was hearing our voices. Connection through listening and speaking. Forming goals. Strength.”

F.A.Q
Who is this program for? You need at least one year of experience working independently in your creative field. It doesn’t matter whether you’re currently on a roll or struggling with motivation – this program is for you wherever you are in your journey.
What if I’m introverted or don’t like group settings? The structure is designed to be supportive, not draining. Small groups (just 3 people!) with a clear format mean no awkward small talk or energy-draining dynamics.
Can I really commit to all 6 sessions? Sessions are every other week, giving you flexibility to plan around them. But yes, consistent attendance is crucial – both for your group members who are counting on you, and for the research validity.
Why is this completely free? This is academic research as part of a psychology bachelor’s thesis. Your participation helps build knowledge about how creative professionals can thrive, and you get real support in return.
What happens in the accountability meetings? You’ll follow a structured coaching-based conversation format. Each person gets 25 minutes of focused time to share goals, discuss progress, receive support, and plan next steps. The meetings are productive, not just social catch-ups.
What if I miss a session? Life happens, and we understand that. However, because the research depends on consistent group dynamics and your peers are counting on you, we ask that you only apply if you can genuinely commit to all 6 sessions.
Will my information be kept private? Absolutely. All data is anonymized before analysis. You’ll be assigned a code (like P1, P2) and no identifying information will be connected to your responses or used in the thesis.
